Anytime you deviate from the traditional 1-2-3-4-5, you're going in the direction of 'small'. For example, a lineup with a center and four swingmen is 'small'. It's not as small as playing without a center but playing two points in the backcourt is 'smaller'. Maybe not 'small' per say but 'smaller'.
And I think it's an appropriate strategy. As much as we rave about our two/three headed beast at center - we have a 1-2 PG combo that's up there with anybody in the A, too. If the Spurs have to play Parker/NVE to counter, I'm more then fine.
