What I find most interesting is that the league apparently did not take the desires of its players into account when making the change.
So what is the point? Does it look better on TV? Does Spalding want to switch so it can sell more? There has to be a reason. I'd start with the Woodward and Bernstein method, FOLLOW THE MONEY.
