I think that David Stern and Stu Jackson were the two to try it out, and they both liked it, so that was a majority decision on this ball issue. I guarantee nobody in the front office will say who officially tried out the ball for approval. This change is more about dollars than sense. Its all about cutting expenses some sort of way. I would bet my bottom dollar that the NBA are getting these balls for free from Spaulding in order to promote this ball.
