That's right Dirk with Physical Defense!!!

Late in the game with the Cavaliers on a roll and trying to get the tie for overtime or potentially take over the game, LeBron was running in for an easy lay-up, when Dirk fouled him hard and put him into the seats. LeBron went on to miss two free-throws and ultimately two clutch 3 point opportunities.

Instead of praising the greatness of LeBron, what about the greatness of Dirk who basically took LeBron out!!! It was crunch time and it was Dirk who came through on the DEFENSIVE end of the floor. It was the right time for the right foul and it wasn't soft...

Anybody else here see the significance of the Mavs winning thanks to Dirk's "D"?
Of course not every east coast media person saw it that way. And had to point it out, of course. Anyone see the replay?

Dirk committed the foul and LeBron went crashing into the baseline cameras, hurting himself in the process. (Meanwhile, the announcers praised Dirk’s “good foul” for making sure LeBron didn’t score, but the replay showed Dirk just kinda swiped at him.)
