GS might be able to make it work, but one of two things is true.

Either 1) Minn is extremely stupid and they take Foyle contract or
2) GS guts their team entirely giving up all the talent they have to get BDiddy and Garnett together without any other players with talent.

If GS trades Harrington, Jackson, Jasikevicious (expiring), Biedrins, and Ellis, and then offers the trade exception for a combination Blount, Madson, Hudson or Hassell --- they can get it done.

Problem for GS is that it leaves their team as BDiddy, Foyle, Belinelli, O'Bryant, Pietrus/Barnes, Wright, Garnett, and the combination they get from the TE, plus the MLE

* I didn't include Wright in the trade because that would take 60 days then, and they seem to think this is a done deal.

I don't think this GS team would be as good as the GS team last year. They would be "hands" tied just like Minn is. They would have 2 rookies in their top 8 players, and have to resign Pietrus and or Barnes.
