I don't see Nellie turning a lot to a center who is an offensive liability. If Mbenga is on the court, then the opposing defense can use the center to double on someone. The opposing defense can largely ignore Mbenga.

I don't see Mbenga playing for Nellie unless he improves a lot as a project. The other possibility is bringing in Mbenga at the end of games when a time out is called after each possession in tight games. Mbenga comes in for defense against a big in the paint and sits for offense.

Mbenga would be perfect for the Hack a Shaq type strats.
