does feel like the West is so stacked, that no matter how you alter your team heading into the playoffs, you're taking such a gamble on someone like Kidd, that it's not worth it. Why would the Mavericks mortgage their future on a one shot deal? Who knows what he'll have next year.
If they did this trade, and they didn't win a ring this year or next, they'd have to blow the team up and start over. And that wouldn't/shouldn't sit well with Dirk and Josh, who would start looking elsewhere.
Harris is the real deal. He's not going anywhere.
