I loved the castle scenes, but V goes from being an unstoppable force as he single handedly owns three very powerful wizards to a little toad when facing Harry...there had to be a better ending than that...the series deserved it.

How do you do it differently? Once he comes against Harry, he can either kill him or he can't. Harry didn't have the skill or experience to actually duel him.
It wasn't Harry he was facing, really, and it wasn't Harry's skill that killed him.
