Sounds simple.

Please delineate the job discriptions and responsibilities. I believe the sports media in this town is screwed up and does not know the difference. At first, Jimmy did everything. He was the Coach, but he did all the GM tasks even though Jerry had the title. Now Jerry really is the GM. And the media rips him for making coaching decisions and rips Campo for letting it happen. Sooooo....let's clear it up.

First, coaches call plays.

After that, I get confused. I want to say that coaches decide who plays when, but I don't think that Dom Capers could start David Carr in the season opener without Charley Casserly's approval. Also, if a GM spends $4M in bonuses on a guy, you don't think he will insist on the guy playing?

Jerry cut a guy on Hard Knocks. People rip Jerry saying that the coach should cut players. Do you think the coach can cut anybody? Cutting a player could have major cap ramifications and hinder the GM's ability to sign free-agents. Also, can the coach cut the GM's first round draft pick?

The GM decides who to draft and who to sign as free agents. I believe this one. Apparently, lots of people don't.

Thoughts?
