Something like that:
Chicago gets Zach Randolph (and uses it´s first overall to get that PG guy Rose) and Stack
New York gets Hinrich and Howard
We get #6, David Lee, and a combo of Chicago guys (Tyus Thomas, Ben Gordon, and something so that the salary adds up).
This trade basically combines the idea of us getting Zach Randolph and #6 for Howard and Stack, the Chicago need so slim its roster and BOTH adding veteran leadership and filling the PF and PG slots and us trading for depth and talent.
I haven´t looked into the numbers too deep, but getting 4 or 5 guys with some upside (Thomas, Lee, #6 and another guy out of the Chicago talent pool) for 2 to bolster our rotation sounds damn fine to me.
After cracking some numbers, something like that might actually work:
mavs trade:
howard, stackhouse
get
curry, lee, thomas, one out of gordon/deng, (duhon?), #6
chicago trades
hinrich, thomas, one out of gordon/deng, (duhon?)
get
randolph, stackhouse
new york trades
randolph, curry, lee, #6
get
howard, hinrich´
So we´d end up with Curry, and our roster would be something like that:
Damp, Curry
Dirk, Bass, Ty Thomas
Lee, (Deng)
Terry, Jones
Kidd, (Duhon)
and #6, either Gordon or Deng, maybe Duhon, the MLE guy and Terry / Seibutis.
If we can get Pietrus for the MLE and add a veteran PG that´s a team to go to war with imho.
