I would imagine that the people that need to go back, do not include Lapidus, as the island did not bring him there.
Desmond and Locke, and unfortunately Aaron I think will be included in that group.
Michael and Jin the island let die. The island didn't let the little fragile baby die in a horrific helicopter crash because he needs to come back. That's my take.
