Haha, if you think subsidies for special industries are not socialist if the taxes that are used for it will come from anyone at the same percentage, then you're already a socialist.

Taking money from citizens (no matter how you collect the taxes) and spending it on special interest groups is a transfer of wealth, as well.

Printing money in order to finance the debt is also a transfer of wealth (this time from the poor and the middle class to the contractors, etc.).

Taking money from citizens and giving it to military contractors is also a transfer of wealth. The transfer of wealth doesn't stop to exist if you mess with the tax code.
