The bears D has steadily been a top tier group. They just haven't had that QB who can control the offense. "Hey, don't screw it up!" That's basically what they've needed for the past few years and Orton might be able to do it now. Taking pressure off the defense keeps them fresh and able to make bigger impact plays.
