Default World Cup 2010: The world comes to South Africa

It begins, the road to being the world champion. For those who enjoy the game of European football (soccer to we Americans) World Cup qualifying has started.

So here’s a thread to talk about the long road to South Africa, and your team.

First, the qualifying matches so far….

England looked very listless against Andorra. They left with the win, but…

France…well, Austria isn’t a pushover, but France sure looked light in that fixture.

Italy needs to have more passion.

Germany looks strong out of the gate, and Spain could be not only the Champions of Europe but also of the world.

The USA and Mexico show again they are the class of their region. The US win in Guatemala was very hard earned and showed a great deal of fortitude. Mexico hasn’t been tested yet.

Paraguay is the surprise to me, they are definitely challenging the big boys of Brazil and Argentina.
