We have a population that now reads less than a book a year, and a majority would look for Pakistan in South America. The old big three networks have turned the news divisions into fluffy McNews. Murrow, Cronkite and Couric.
ABC is owned by Disney, a company that has no problem totally destroying classical children's literature so it can sell more crappy merchandise tie ins. Expecting journalistic integrity instead of maximizing profit is going to leave you disappointed.
