I'd trade Dirk for Duncan simply because Duncan can play the pivot on a regular basis. Duncan would be the 2nd best center in the league immediately and would be the best after Shaq retires. Duncan also rebounds better and is a much better defender. Dirk is a better outside shooter, but inside play is more valuable in the playoffs and Duncan has the decided edge there.
