Stack feels he has a few years left.
He seems to work best in an ISO style offense, with an inside player, and drive/kicks.
He doesn't seem to fit in a cutting style motion offense. (age, knees, etc).
I just can't see him in NY, at least not by his choice. I guess I could be wrong, but I don't see it.
That doesn't mean that the Mavs wouldn't send him there anyway, but it wouldn't be to his strengths.
