Carroll is due $4.3 in 2010, $3.9 in 2011, PO for $3.5 in 2012
Diop is due $6.5 in 2010, $6.9 in 2011, PO for $7.4 in 2012
So it's not a huge benefit in 2010, though $2.2MM could certainly matter; it is clearly a huge benefit over the life of the two contracts.
If that's all we get out of it, well, I guess Diop wasn't doing anything anyway. If either player ends up contributing for us, all the better. Would rather we'd gotten a contract that expired sooner, but given just how little Diop has contributed this year, and how ridiculous his contract now looks, I'd say we probably got reasonable value for him. Just wish it were Felton...
