You are allowed to buy hard alcohol when you are an adult - means at the age of eighteen. Refreshing drinks like beer at the age of 16.
Unofficially you are allowed to consume beer and wine when you are inducted into the parish ( 14 years ). In rural areas it´s tolerated when kids, 12,13 or so, drink one! glass of beer when there is a little beerfest in town.

In real life many minors don´t care about the law or the church. They just can´t control what the Vodka do ... and start drinking til exitus. A horror i think. And that´s the reason, i don´t attend major festivals like the Hamburg Port anniversary, because especially the young guns are pi**ed very quickly and partys turn violent.
