RE:New York idea
That's too much to give. Thomas is only a 10 minutes per game back up power forward on the Mavs, and Shandon Anderson, given his contract, has negative value. Pavel is real big and might (or might not) turn out to be a useful player. Stackhouse is valuable. About the most I'd give up for Thomas/Anderson isallas trades: PG Dan Dickau (2.2 ppg, 0.6 rpg, 0.9 apg in 6.8 minutes)
PG Tariq Abdul-Wahad (2.2 ppg, 0.6 rpg, 0.9 apg in 6.8 minutes)
C Shawn Bradley (3.3 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 11.7 minutes)
Dallas receives: C Kurt Thomas (11.1 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.9 apg in 31.9 minutes)
SF Shandon Anderson (7.9 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 1.5 apg in 24.6 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +13.5 ppg, +7.9 rpg, and +2.2 apg.
New York trades: C Kurt Thomas (11.1 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.9 apg in 31.9 minutes)
SF Shandon Anderson (7.9 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 1.5 apg in 24.6 minutes)
New York receives: PG Dan Dickau (2.2 ppg, 0.6 rpg, 0.9 apg in 43 games)
PG Tariq Abdul-Wahad (2.2 ppg, 0.6 rpg, 0.9 apg in 43 games)
C Shawn Bradley (3.3 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 66 games)
Change in team outlook: -13.5 ppg, -7.9 rpg, and -2.2 apg.
TRADE ACCEPTED
This is really just Bradley for Thomas, with other stuff thrown in to balance the salaries. But I think Bradley is worth Thomas in value.
