Simmons: So don't blame the NBA higher-ups for the way they interpreted that stupid, idiotic, foolish, moronic, brainless, unintelligent, foolhardy, imprudent, thoughtless, obtuse and thickheaded rule. Blame them for having the rule itself.
I think it's a reasonable rule, and to say the least if it is a "stupid, idiotic, foolish, moronic, etc., etc.. rule" today then it was a stupid, idiotic, foolish rule that was on the books two-weeks ago.
Did anybody have a huge problem with this rule two-weeks ago? I don't recall any complaints -- it was a sensible rule then and it is a sensible rule today. People just don't like it when sensible rules adversely affect them.
