I think tight end's an easier position to fill because it's about largely physical tools. That's why undersized power forwards like Gonzales, Gates and Now Graham can excel. IMO safety is the defensive equivalent to quarterback. Either you can read an offense (defense) in a split second or you can't. But can't just stick an athlete back there and expect him to make plays. We tried and failed with Awusu Ansa.
