with how pitiful our rebounding has been this year thus far, it is still pretty amazing that we are ranked fourth in the league in rebounding =p

Not really when you consider the rankings are based upon total rebounds. With the Mavs still playing in up tempo games, that also means that the opponents will take more shots. So, there's alot of shots to go around....alot more rebounds to go around than in most games played by other teams.
