Officiating was questionable at best last night.

The first Dallas goal was probably the best play of the entire game. Clean. Of course this came after a very questionable series in the box on the other end. Two players locked up, in the box, another comes over to help. Casey - the Colorado player pulls the defender down, then the defender kicks him and trips him.........no call.

The second goal - one by Colorado had a crossing kick in front of the net. Hartman and the Dallas defender crashing into Casey in front all going down -- Casey long toe, played the ball while he was on the ground and tapped it in the net - with all three in a pile in front of the net. Ugly, and illegal in younger leagues as you can't play the ball while on the ground -- but allowed here........the tying goal.

Third goal was an even uglier play where a crossing ball from the left side all the way to the right side out -- which I still don't get why off-sides wasn't called -- went to a new guy. The defender got there and cut him off. He sent the ball between the defenders legs, and then reached around him and pulled himself around -- the defender pushed back so he only could get one foot to the ball -- John was rotating over - Hartman was in position, but his toe flip brought the ball up and as John was coming across, it hit his thigh -- which deflected it away from Hartman and in the net. (typical hockey stuff)

Dallas for the most part dominated the game everywhere except in the physical department. The official kept warning instead of giving yellow cards. Dallas could have easily had 2 reds and at least 5-6 yellows. Colorado wouldn't have enough players to play the game with all the yellows they should have received. Casey should have gotten his second yellow LONG before his goal at 57'. Even obvious stuff like Colorado not trying to move on a free kick and being with 10 yards - but trying to block the free kick at 2 yards -- which has always been a yellow or if flagrant (which it was) a red.......no call.

I don't mind a physical game, but the play last night was shaky at best on both sides. Very little crisp passing. Basically a thugged up ugly hockey game more than a precise passing controlling soccer match.

Ugly game for the most part. Not really good soccer.
