Default RE:Krauthammer argues for gas tax

I estimate that if the price of Gas stays at 1.99 for a year compared to 1.35 my family will have to pay an extra $600 for Gas.

Me -- 12000 miles@ 25 miles/Gal 480 gallons
Wife -- 10000 miles@ 21 miles/Gal 475 gallons

I say adjust the Tax rate to keep the prices at 1.75, that way it is up to the government to plan for Tax revenue based on changing price of Gas for a change, instead of the people planning their budget on a varying price of gas.
