The complaints are two fold.
1) What Kidd said is a bs excuse. We dont have a proven track record of good dwfense with Maxi and DP vs small ball. DP had an incredible night for him and isnt due to do anything close to that for years, if ever again. He was a huge help for a stretch in the 4th, but its a huge stretch to even hint that he is any type of notable defender, even against small ball.
2) Kidd has done nothing but give guys random hooks that make no sense to anyone. Lively should have been rewarded with the same or more minutes after Wednesdays performance. He needs different looks to learn. Instead DP is back in the driver seat and Maxi is allowed to bumblefuck his way through the entire game.
This is my take on why so many are complaining. What has really changed, aside from 2 wins in a row in a while? Overusing DP, Maxi, TJH? - Check
Wildcard ass lineups and rotations? - check
Luka single handedly slapping a bandaid on a poorly managed game by thr coach including not using challenges on crucial momentum plays? - check
No plays called for Luka to post up, even when Kidd notes "Small Ball" ? - check
Lively kills in last game and is reqarded with half the minutes next game? - check
Get this jaggoff Kidd outta here. I was hoping for the best with the guy coming in and he had a good first year. But since then its been a free fall into the dumpster fire.
