Don't think there is a worry here. We only had 4m+ to sign a guy with so it's not like we COULD have offered 8m over 4 years. He either signed 1 year at 4m+ or 2+ years at 4m+ the 1st year with whatever raises the CBA allowes annually.
Am I missing something?
