You shouldn't even have read this far. Just read the first paragraph. That's like trading Nash and Marion, let's say. That's like trading Wade and Shaq. Malone and Stockton. You simply do not do that for at least the best player on the other team or the 2nd at the very least.

I also understand where Serious is coming from, on the blow it up. Problem is, it is harder to find a true "superstar" than it is to find the compliments. None of the players in the original idea are superstars -- and none are worth Dirk or Kidd.

Aldridge is a nice player, but is he better than Bosh? I don't think Bosh ever gets to superstar level, just all-star.

It is easier to stay at 50 wins and hope to break through, than to try and find another superstar.

<edit> Check out Chicago. They are a great team of compliments. Problem is -- they need a superstar, but are too good now to be able to draft one, but not good enough to do anything in the playoffs.
