A max raise combined with BYC rules would require 2 teams over the cap to swap almost a whole teams worth of players each direction - that huge trade there is only about 2/3 as big as is needed.

The big trade at the beginning was Kidd/Kittles/Mourning/KMart. That trade works because it is essentially the same money ($43M) as the Indiana trade I quoted.
You were incorrect, the trade can happen. Live with it.
