RIP Mr. Bol
Just today read a bit about his story.
What caught my attention was that after 10 years in the NBA, he returned to his native land of Sudan. He was offered a position in that countries government, but he had to renounce his Christian Faith and convert to Islam/Muslim. He denied Islam and kept his Christian Faith. He turned down the position and then his country would NOT allow him to leave Sudan.
He had to escape from Sudan...which he did and became a great ambassador for his faith and his people within Sudan.
I'm looking forward to reading more about his story and learning more about Sudan and the people within that nation.
