A couple of problems there...

Quincy didnt have a great game but he didnt have a bad game. Except for the interception and the fumbles.
And I guess Bill Buckner had a great game...except for letting that ground ball through his legs virutally assuring the Red Sox of being eliminated. It wasn't a good game then huh?

I wish Coslet would have tried to go deep once.
Quincy Carter has consistently shown that he cannot throw the deep ball. The game plans are planned to include quick short passes which are Quincy's strength...although you could argue he needs serious improvement there as well as of late.

If the running game was average quincy would have done better.
You have this 100% backwards as any coach will tell you....Other teams know that Quincy cannot beat them deep on a consistent basis, so they are loading up the run defense. Why do you think the league has been playing the Cowboys with 8 man fronts all season and the last half of last year? It's because they know Carter cannot beat them. If Carter had even an average threat level of passing, the 8 man fronts would disappear and Emmitt et al would be seeing more holes to run through. The offensive line wouldn't be trying to block 8 defenders with 5 guys all the damn time.
