There are some beautiful things happening on the court so far. Monta Ellis looks to be the best player that Dirk has ever been paired with - those two go together like chocolate and peanut butter. Much better than JET, and even better than pre-decline Finely or pre-MVP Nash (only partially because Dirk is much better than he was back then, but mostly because Ellis looks damn good).

You could put the Dirk-Monta two man game up against an All-NBA Defensive Team and they're not going to stop it - Ellis is just too quick and Dirk is just too tall. This is our bread and butter play, so it's safe to say that this team is going to be better than last year's... Some aspects of basketball don't need 10-15 games to figure out.
+1. The actual score means next to nothing in the preseason. You have watch how the players are fitting together on the floor and look at individual stats. The Dirk/Monta pairing is showing signs of being a huge leap better than the Dirk/Mayo pairing. If one can't see that, they're not paying very close attention. Can't wait to see Calderon added to the mix and have Wright back. Let's get this season started.
