Default UT - Kansas Big 12 Championship

I've got a question regarding the title game yesterday.

In the 2nd half Kansas was up 63 - 60 when a Kansas player drove and made a shot, but was called for charging on the play. The score then ready 65-60. Why did they get to keep the 2 points when they committed an offensive foul?

Did I get this right or did I miss a score in my excitement of watching the game?

If I'm right and they should not have counted the basket, then the Longhorns won the title in regulation...is there anything that anyone can do to protest the result...or did Rick Barnes miss his opportunity at the time the bucket was counted?
