After the prequels and the mess that was Star Trek Into Darkness, JJ and Disney are going to have to produce a movie at least on par with the best Marvel titles to win me over... Like, if this movie can't "out-Star Wars" Guardians of the Galaxy, then I'm peacing the F out.

I think all big budget movies have a certain "mehness" to them these days. I just think making broad appeal movies that have to show in markets like China will inherently be flawed.
At least there is no Jar Jar, Jake Floyd, or Hayden Christiansen. Disney was smart to cast quality actors like Domhall Gleeson and Oscar Isaac.
