like MX45 is pointing out, that's the wrong direction. It's better for them to tax the same thing several times under different ledger entries, rather than trying to pile it all up in the same place.

They'll tax mileage 1st, then the number of stoplights you pass through, and then the number of left turns you make, then the number of right turns you make (cameras are already in place), and then the number of times you get pulled over by the cops for no reason (which is perfect, because they can actually control that!). Then they can tax you inversely for the number of people in your car - then for the number of people you do have in your car, etc. etc.
