I understand why-- he's been thrown into a leadership position here at 19. He only had Dirk for a year and Dirk is not a vocal leader. Since then, we've seen a parade of guys coming through for a season or less.
But his emotionality is an issue. He has to be a team player and he has to control his emotions better (both with refs and teammates)

Eh, it's his job and he's got to own it if he wants to take that next step in his career. Luka has been throwing out some video game stats this season. He's at the top of his game from a physical standpoint. Mental is killing him whether it's free throws or handling emotions as you point out.
We aren't seeing close to what Luka could be if he can tame those two aspects.
