Thing about the masks is the secondary function. Everyone knows that it impedes the respiratory part of the virus' infection. To me, the more important function to the everyday American is impeding the ability to touch your face.

Anecdotally, I've had a hard time adapting to not touching my face as much. Hell, the other day on a trip to the store, I had my N95 on and would still have the urge to touch my face be it an itch or an adjustment. It's hard!

But I will say it was disheartening to see the amount of people who still insist on no precautions whatsoever.
