That doesn't directly help the center situation, but a line up of Kidd/Howard/Marion/Kirilenko/Dirk (with Terry, Gooden, Thomas, Barrea & Dampier also available) might be stout enough on defense to play without a real center.
Compete with that team for three years, then all the contracts are gone (basically) and its time to start over.

I'd be all in on this one........that would be fun to watch. Kidd would have a hey day with that length available.
Edit: Think of the help side shot blocking on all pick n rolls. You either have AK47 or Marion coming with a 7' in your way, and that is if you can get by Kidd or JHo who play pretty good D themselves.
If they have a problem with a guard, in comes Ross. Problems inside, you get Damp or Gooden. Need more outside shooting but still need to guard the bigs, TThomas in the game. Need some energy, Singleton to crash. Dirk at the high elbow on O, AK on the blocks, Marion cutting backside, Kidd left alone for the three, or Jet/JHo --- pick your poison and a nasty bench as well.
