Not sure why you would say this. We just took the top team in the East to overtime, then had a strong comeback win against a Chicago team with 3 possible all-stars. I don't expect to win in SA, just because no one does, but I expect the Mavs to compete.
In fact that is the best thing about this season...these Mavs do compete. Down 10 in the 1st half at Chicago, they came back, got the lead, then went down by 10 again at the half. Usually games like that end with the excuse of "we dug too deep a hole and didn't have enough left at the end to pull it out." Not this time. Butler, who'd scored 53, 30, 19 and 27 in his last 4 games? Matthews held him to 4 points. These Mavs compete.
