If Rick didn't like Powell, then he wouldn't have gotten this contract. The no trade clause is puzzling, but that probably means there were better offers.

Dunno why anyone would be even remotely surprised at the numbers of the contract though. 9 mil a year is reasonable compared to a lot of guys. And I knew there was no way they'd let a young athletic big like Powell go...especially after not landing Whiteside or Conley.
