I want Dirk to re-sign with the Mavs as much as the next fan, but people are linking the quote "I love this organization" with the last quote "If that means I have to play for less money, it's all possible. It's all open." Both the statements are true independently, but re-signing with the mavs for less money is a conclusion drawn by many that might not be true.
