Default RE:"For God's Sake, Please Stop the Aid!"

Clearly there are structural issues in Africa that are holding back the potential for success of its people. Yet to say that the affort to help- the aid being given- is a detriment is simplistic. There must be investment to realize progress, and as there is no meaningful capital sources indiginous to these countries where would this investment come from if not from the industrialized countries?

The rapid development of Asia shows that this type of process gives opportunity to the less developed economies. Asia did not acheive its success without foreign capital flows into their economies.

The comment on the AIDS epidemic reminds me of the Africans who claim that condoms don't work to prevent the transmission of the disease and the drugs don't work either. ludicrous thinking.
