Though at times it read like a Bret Easton Ellis novel, that was an absolutely gutwrenching read. Thanks for posting it.

My closest friend for the last thirteen years or so fell into the stuff a couple years back. I haven't seen him in about a year now, and in fact I've only seen him three or four times since he started using. It's the strangest thing in the world when someone you knew as well as anyone else suddenly is a completely different person. As the young man said, sad and baffling.
