You are very mis-informed. The shia/sunni were pretty much at a status-quo until Al Queda began murdering the shia, which in turn caused the shia militia to retaliate against the sunni.

Engram is far from a conspiracy theory site, and I think that Gen. Petraeus also agrees with me. But since he's an evil military guy, he cannot be trusted.
