Good lord.... I wouldn't base the long-term value of either Parsons or Matthews off of their play from this season. Parsons is still on a pretty strict minutes restriction and needs time. If he still isn't giving us much by March, then you can worry, but he's barely played yet this year. The sky isn't falling.
One potential worry that I do have is that he looks shaky through the end of the season and still opts out. Puts the Mavs in a very precarious position, because in all likelihood he's going to recover to be at least 85% of the player he was physically... so do we roll the dice on that this summer, knowing Matthews is a potential question mark moving forward?
