12 Years a Slave- Great. One of the best movies of the year. Has a Paul Thomas Anderson feel about it and shows all of the nuances of the Slave Era.

American Hustle- Slightly disappointed actually. The pacing was off and it was long. Good acting, style, and a "fun" mentality keep it a recommendation to see. Just don't expect a masterpiece.

Saving Mr. Banks- Pleasantly surprised with this one. A rare Disney movie for adults. It's definitely sappy, and still a Disney movie, but good and rightly emotional.
