Which is why you MUST make your draft picks count. The Rockets have picked up plenty of players with even worse draft picks, and packaged them together for other assets. When you have decent draft picks, you have assets. When you suck at the draft is when your cupboard is bare. I will never understand or agree with Cuban's disdain for the draft. If you are looking for role players, then, yes, you can pick those up as vet min FA's. But they aren't going to suddenly become young players. You can't build a team around them.

If only high draft picks are worth it....why did they pay so much for Chandler Parsons, who was a second round pick?
