Rob, I don't think anyone has said he will be a star. What the pro Quincy faction wants is what Dale Hansen said tonight:

(a paraphrase since I can't remember the exact wording off the top of my head) "I was doing the Ticket post-game show today and we had another half-dozen callers rip Quincy Carter. I thought Bob Sturm had a great point when he said that last week Quincy played great the whole game, but misses the game winning touchdown so he gets ripped. This week he doens't play well the whole game, but he makes that touchdown pass and he still gets ripped. Now which way do you want it? Now I am not sure about Quincy's future, but he has shown me enough hard work, good plays, and effort for me to give him a chance. People were in love with Steve Walsh even though he showed very little during his stay here."

This has summarized my views on Carter.
