No, the reality is that liberals need to show the fuck up in 2018 -- Donald Trump would be completely toothless if the Republicans didn't have a majority in both Congress and Senate, in addition to the Supreme Court and State Governors. Conservatives aren't even close to being a majority in this country, but they keep winning everything because they're motivated enough to get out and vote.

If you look at the numbers, the clear majority in America today are non-voters, and most people don't vote because they don't think it makes any difference -- and with centrist Dems like Hillary supporting the same corporate oligarchy as the Republicans, they're absolutely right. If the Democrats want to start piling up victories, they need to give people something to vote FOR, rather than just voting against (because not every GOP candidate is going to be a pedophile)... And they can't just campaign on identity politics. No reason to abandon their platform of championing minorities, but in 2018 they need to present something tangible for the majority as well ("it's the economy, stupid!"), otherwise they don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of knocking Trump off his perch in 2020.
