Also, it's not really a 'free speech' issue, especially insofar as the Rockets are concerned. Likely gonna cost them plenty.

While my sympathies tend strongly toward Hong Kong, Morey spoke as an executive of a private American entity, and the collateral damage will extend to the other NBA teams that do business in China. It's really hard to figure out what he thought he was accomplishing unless, as sefant speculates, he was trying to get fired.

The world will likely end with a madman's tweet.
